I am a bad blogger
Been swamped these past 2 weeks. Sorry.
I am coming home in one week. I miss Zaxby’s, Barberitos, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-a, unlimited refills in drinks, not paying to use public restrooms, not having to put the price sticker on your own vegetables at the grocery store, sweet tea, a soft bed, not having anything to do, playing basketball, friends, roommates, family, and family of friends....
This weekend is exciting
because…
1.) I will be going to Paris this weekend with my boy Eric to meet my boy Mark. Nothing like three bros chilling in Paris.
2.) Mark will be returning to Metz and staying with me for awhile.
3.) The World Cup final is Sunday night.
Italy this weekend. Stoked.

A Blur
these past weeks have been.
This past weekend was Switzerland. The Alps are beautiful. We took a gondola up a mountainside and the view was incredible. I looked down in the valley, and the mountains were big and I was small. It was that simple.
Today, back in Metz the president of Georgia Tech came to visit, along with the CEO of Coke, his body guards, and other people more powerful than...
It turns out, the Czech Republic was not calling.
Long story short, we missed our train.
We were going to leave as a group. A few people in the group got to our meeting point late. We missed our intended bus to the train station, which consequentially made us late to our intended train. Lesson(s) learned.
However, the weekend was salvaged in that we planned an impromptu trip to Cologne, Germany, in about 1 hour that night after we got...
13 hours on a train
Because Prague, Czech Republic is calling.

Crazy stuff
…happened today.
Here’s what the schedule for today was supposed to look like:
Wake up at 8:15am and go register for the Technopole games (like a mini-olympics for my college campus)
Play basketball in the Technopole games for the morning and afternoon
Take a train at 7 pm for Brussels, Belgium.
11 pm arrive at Brussels, Belgium.
12pm check into the bed and...
The rest of my summer
The locations with the question marks are not completely set yet.
May 29-31 Mini Olympics + Brussels, Belgium

June 12-13 Nice, France?
June 19-21 Barcelona, Spain
June 26-27 Munich, Germany
July 2-5 Venice/Cinque Terre/Rome, Italy
July 10-11 Paris, Normandy, Nice, Marseille?
July 17-19 Marseille/Nice, France or Croatia?

Ridiculously busy
That’s what I’ve been lately. My weekdays are pretty much going to be completely consumed by school, so that my weekends can be free for traveling. I honestly must say it has been an excellent experience so far though. The culture, the scenery, and the people I have been meeting (French and American) have been awesome.
Tomorrow I’m going to be playing basketball in this...
2 interesting food-related things
1.) Today, my awesome hallmates Charlotte and Tiffany made me and a friend some real French crepes filled with Nutella (creamy hazlenut chocolate spread). Vive le France!
2.) Today, I also found out the rind on my half-eaten block of gouda cheese is not edible. Key words being “half-eaten”.
3 E's of France
1.) Expensive. A 20 oz bottle of coke is about $3. A gallon of gas is over twice as much as back home (~$6). Ouch.
2.) Environmental. At the grocery stores there are no plastic or paper grocery bags, only canvas reusable ones you have to buy. Everyone recycles. Supposedly you get reprimanded if you leave lights on when you travel. Cars are tiny. I’ve maybe seen a total of 10...
4:06 am
…and I can’t sleep. I don’t understand since I slept great last night. Also, the fact that today was a lot of walking and then 2 and a half hours of soccer with French students, I thought I would have been exhausted. But I’m not.
Anyways I forgot to mention about my connecting flight from Atlanta to Chicago. It was an hour and a half on a tiny plane with one aisle....
Leaving today
Atlanta, United States
Chicago, United States
Frankfurt, Germany
Metz, France
My next 20 hours.
The traveler was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure,...
